Munno was the adoptive grandfather of Jeong, now known as Mok Gyeongwoon.
Appearance[]
Background[]
Munno was a member of the branch family of the Sichuan Tang clan. He was the most talented among entire clan, that's why he became direct disciple of the leader. Despite his talents and skills he was not considered as the leader succession candidate, leaving a spot for leader's son. At some point of time Munno committed himself to heretical and illegal religious organization, Fire Faith Order. This faction came from Persia to the Central Planes. It's uncertain exactly when they started to expand, but there is possibility that starting point of their appearance in Central Planes was Hyuk Cheon-Man training travel and taking a disciple from the west. Munno climbed in this organization hierarchy to the top, reaching a rang of ''Father'' and ''Guardian''.
History[]
Medicine Immortal Hae Yeong was once hailed as one of the greatest physicians of the era, alongside the famous Crying Doctor Hoe Ta. His unmatched knowledge of herbs and medicine saved countless lives—most notably during a massive plague that followed the Red Turban Bandits' rebellion over thirty years ago. When corpses piled up and disease spread rapidly, it was Hae Yeong who developed a cure, stopping the plague from spreading beyond Seomseoseong and earning him legendary status.
However, after this event, Hae Yeong mysteriously vanished from the public eye around eighteen years ago. Since then, little was known about him—his real name, whereabouts, or even if he was still alive.
Unknown to most, Hae Yeong had taken on the name Mun-no and lived in seclusion deep in the mountains, raising his grandson Mok Gyeong-un. Mok knew him only as a skilled herbalist, unaware of his grandfather’s past as the famed Medicine Immortal.
It’s only later, through clues from others like Gyeom-chang and the Poison King Baek Sa Ha, that Mok realizes his grandfather was not just a healer—but someone powerful enough to injure even Ghost Blade, a feared assassin. This revelation forces Mok to reevaluate his understanding of his grandfather and deepens the mystery of his own origins.
Martial Realm[]
Munno was the strongest poison master in history (if we do not count Cheon Ma). Not only his healing abilities was the best in his era but his power was also significant. He died only because shameful attack of Sichuan Tang clan leader, using the strongest poison in history, formless poison. It was perfect and ultimate form of poison. Even medicine immortal could not save his life from this deadly power. In terms of martial power he was at the profound realm, but poison users battle prowess is usually beyond their martial realm.
To better understand his strength it's worth to compare him to other poison users.
- Munno
- Gu Jae-Yang (The strongest poison user of the Old Murim Era)
- Guyang Sa-oh (Poison master from outside of the Central Planes, he was from jungle regions, also first great guardian of the Demonic Cult)
- Baek Sa-ha (Patriarch of the Poison Clan during founding of the Demonic Cult)
- Tang Clan Leader (First if he is using Formless Poison)
- Baek Oh (loser)
It's impressive that a person from post Calamity era, when martial arts level decreased, managed to overcome the strongest poison user of the previous golden era of martial arts.
