Myst, Might, Mayhem Wiki

Seop Chun is the Third Captain Commander of the Internal Affairs Headquarters of the Main Hall. He is also one of the more significant supporting characters in the entire story.

Appearance[]

Seop Chun is a tall, muscular man in his late twenties with a laid-back and friendly demeanor. Often seen chewing on snacks like rice cakes.

Personality[]

Seop Chun has an outgoing, humorous, and easygoing personality. He often speaks casually, jokes around, and enjoys teasing others, making him seem lighthearted. However, beneath that cheerful exterior, he is sharp, observant, and quick to read the situation. He doesn't take things too seriously on the surface, but he’s reliable and perceptive when it matters.

Background[]

Despite his easygoing attitude, Seop Chun is a highly skilled martial artist and serves as the captain of the third guard unit of the main hall, an elite force responsible for protection of Society Leader. Once a top participant of Corpse Blood Valley, he earned three top disciple tokens, marking him as a martial genius.

He is also one of the Five Tigers, one of the most outstanding young talents in the Heaven and Earth Society. Seop Chun is the only one among them who lacks the backing of a major faction. Consequently, he must fight for everything on his own and achieve all his accomplishments solely through his own strength and merit. His greatest rival is another member of the Five Tigers, Mong Mu-yak.

Martial Arts[]

In the past few decades, Seop Chun has been one of only two individuals to obtain three tokens for first place in the Corpse Blood Valley trials, the other being the Heavenly Demon himself. This achievement is a testament to his extraordinary talent as a martial warrior.

Like you, my liege, that friend also obtained three top disciple tokens from the gates eight years ago and exited as the top disciple. He’s quite an oddball, so he gave up at the last few gates, but if he had put his mind to it, it wouldn’t have been strange for him to receive all the top disciple tokens.

Lee Ji-yeom, to Mok Gyeongwoon

His general level of strength was comparable to that of an executive of the Heaven-Earth Society despite his young age, though he was still far from the level of the Five Kings or the official disciples of the Society Leader. However, this changed drastically due to his mission with the Heavenly Demon. While he gained invaluable experience during this time, the key catalysts for his growth were two rare elixirs from the Shaolin Temple, which he received from his lord, and most importantly, an infusion of the Heavenly Demon's own Demonic Qi.

After converting the nature of his Qi to Demonic, his martial realm surged violently to the late stage of the Peak Transcendent Realm, placing him right before the wall of the Transformation Realm. Furthermore, the very nature of Demonic Qi made his power more destructive and potent. As a result, his overall power level became comparable to some of the Five Kings. This meteoric rise occurred in the mere span of approximately two months during their mission.

Technique[]

The primary martial arts Seop Chun most commonly employs in combat is the Butterfly Blade Dance.

Second Stance of the Butterfly Blade Dance

Seop Chun spun his body like a top while wielding his blade. Then, a whirlwind of powerful energy surged due to the blue-colored blade energy infused in the Blue Martial Blade. The blade technique Seop Chun executed was so outstanding that it could be called a transcendent blade technique without hesitation. Even with Art of Sword Control, it seemed difficult to penetrate that blade technique.

Eighth Stance of the Butterfly Blade Dance

The blade trajectories of the Butterfly Blade, fluttering like a butterfly, created numerous afterimages and instantly trapped the sword that had been piercing toward Seop Chun’s crown. The sword, trapped in the net created by the dazzling blade technique, bounced around wildly, losing its strength. Seeing this, admiration flashed in Mok Gyeong-un’s eyes. Seeing the net created by the dazzling blade technique, it seemed evident how exceptional Seop Chun’s combat sense was. He was completely blocking the connection of qi to the sword.
