History[]

Tang In-hae is the grandson of the legendary Tang Yeon-jong the Thousand Poison Hand and one of the current head of the Sichuan Tang Clan. Raised in a prestigious line of poison masters, In-hae grew up in the shadow of his grandfather’s greatness and inherited both his ambition and pride.

However, his legacy is marked by jealousy and unresolved grudges. In his youth, he witnessed his grandfather’s intent to pass down the Tang Clan’s secret technique, the Formless Poison, not to him or his father, but to Grandmaster Mun-no, a distant branch family member. This planted a deep resentment in his heart, viewing Mun-no as an unworthy outsider.

Years later, that old bitterness resurfaced. When Mun-no returned, weakened and poisoned, Tang In-hae secretly betrayed him, infecting him with the very Formless Poison meant for the clan’s heir. He mocked Mun-no’s fall, marking him with the symbol of a secret organization, knowing it would draw their attention—and possibly, their wrath.

Despite his cunning betrayal, Tang In-hae maintained a calm and honorable front, especially toward Ye Song-ah, granddaughter of Holy Fire Priestess. He acted as her protector and confidant, helping her warn Mun-no and "that person" of approaching danger. Yet, even in this, his motives remained calculated believing her desperation would make her rely on him more deeply.
